April 8, 2017: Four strong earthquakes, including one measuring magnitude 6, rattled Batangas province located in the Calabarzon region in Luzon, Philippines. According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), the first tremor of magnitude 5.6 struck at 3:07 p.m. with epicenter located two kilometers northwest of Mabini, Batangas.
