    __________
I PURCHASED: Elvex 1.5 Diopter tinted safety glasses
    I PAID: $9.15
COLOR: Clear lenses Bronze tinted frames
    SOLD BY: Amazon LLC
    __________

I work in a field where i need to have safety glasses on almost all day. I wanted something stylish and also needed the diopter for close up stuff. I also got these with tinted lenses. They frame my face perfectly and are comfortable for long use. I wish they had 1.75 diopters as that would be ideal for me but making do with the 1.5’s. The plastic lens is soft and will scratch easily if not handled properly, i just treat these like my expensive sunglasses and if they do get scratched they are cheap enough.

The best safety glasses I had yet to try on, October 17, 2014

The best safety glasses I had yet to try on. I work as a Supervisor in a manufacturing facility and we are required to wear saftey gasses at all time. I have a tone of paperwork to do and I’m on the PC and my laptop all the time. My eyes arent what they used to be either. I purchased these glasses because of the bifocals and the looks and I am not disappointed. They are comfortable and fit very well. They don’t slip or slide down off your face either.
I highly recommend these glasses for purchase. I work 12 hour shifts and these safety glasses keep up the whole time.

Very good glasses – comparable to the DeWalt’s, March 25, 2017

Compared to the Dewalt DPG59 glasses, I rate them both 4 stars, comparing the following areas:

Cost: Elvex – these were approx. $3 less than the DeWalt’s at the time of this review, making these a better value.
Note: The DeWalt’s come with a protective neoprene sleeve, so if you think that is worth $3, then this would be a tie.

Comfort: Elvex – both are plenty comfortable but I give the edge to these because they use a slightly softer rubber at the contact points.
Note: These tend to fit a little closer to the face, so if you have long eyelashes, the DeWalt’s would probably be more comfortable.

Eye coverage: DeWalt – both are very good, but I give the edge to the DeWalt’s because they have a slightly larger lens which makes for slightly better peripheral vision.

Clarity: Tie – both are very good with nearly identical bi-focal lenses.

Fit: Tie – both fit very well, and they both stay snugly in place.

Quality: Tie – both seem to be fine. Time will tell if one is better than the other.

Weight: Tie – both weigh .9 ounces.
