As a newbie to this, it’s great!, September 30, 2016

I’m a newbie to this type of purchase.
I’d say they are great and for the price (1.39 as of this time for the blue), it is the perfect “try this one” product for me if it doesn’t end up being what I want.
Feels sturdy enough to me; doesn’t bend.
Hinges I read about seem fine. 3 of them across the entire back. Could remove the top if I want. I’ll learn, I suppose, why some people don’t like them.
Love the transparent plastic for my use. Comes with labels if you want to use.

I used for 9mm. Everything hole fit just fine. I read in the lower rating reviews that some people want them to not move at all. Some want them farther apart. Some want them to move more. I’m not sure you can please everyone after reading those. For me, I haven’t had the sweaty hand issue yet so we’ll see how that goes. I have some up and some down and find them reasonably easy to grab with the pad of my finger (especially 2 at a time) with bullet up or an easy nail grab with primer up. Their compact which I like. The bottom portion is as tall at the casing.

My ONLY reason for 4 vs. 5 stars is the clip for keeping closed. It is sturdy. This has only one. But because of that one and the simply “lip-catch” design, I can see this easily catching on something when loading to transport and thus spilling out the contents if I don’t stay aware. I will stay aware, but having bought an alternative case and color (to easily identify defensive vs. target ammo), I had a chance to see better closure design with 2 clips with a very different setup. I’m not too worried about this as a problem, but it is worth noting. Still, if I stay aware, I see this as an easy one-handed open case because of that hinge design.

NOTE: one review said that the lid when open “doesn’t stay” and will cause the case bottom to flip up as the lid falls back. I’m not sure we are on the same product. Both the 100 round and 50 round cases I received have tops that will lay flush or almost flush to the table with the bottom when opened. Nothing is affected as to round security in the case or access.

Awesome. Purchased to fit 9mm ammo, December 22, 2014

    Awesome.
    Purchased to fit 9mm ammo.
Some wiggle room, but the cases are great to store, or throw in a bag.
the plastic may wear over years of constant use.

    I believe I purchased these under $5.00
Which is definitely a good price range.

Purchase if you need ammo storage, and are tired of looking at random ammo boxes.
Purchase if you need something to carry ammo in, and get tired of your boxes becoming flimsy after carrying them around for a little while.
Purchase with the understanding that this may not be a long lasting product, but that 3-5 years should be a good expectancy with heavy use.

    Thanks,

These MTM boxes are the best. There is a curiosity involved however. For whatever reason the green boxes seem to be made of a much more sturdy polymer than the other colors. Thus, I always buy the green versions when available.
