Solid end plate. The QD socket works perfectly. My sling holds locks in solid and freely rotates.

I purchased this QD based on reviews and availability (2 day ship on Amazon) verses the Noveske which also has good reviews. the one thing i wanted to know was if the QD ring was pressed in, welded, cast or milled. If it was pressed in I was going to be concerned the QD circle would break free with some abuse. Well, it appears the QD circle has a flange on the back side insuring a pressed or welded type system would not fail. Good news! Hope this helps anyone studying the minor details. I will buy another one for sure.
