Nice bag for traveling light., October 25, 2016

This bag is just what I needed. I’ve taken it on a couple of short trips and can confidently say that it holds up for what I need it for. If you do not pack it so that it is almost exploding with stuff, it will fit nicely under the airplane seat in front of you. So if you fly Spirit or Frontier and are looking for a bag that is not quite as big as the carry-on you have to pay for, this bag will work. I took it on both a Frontier and Spirit flight and was able to fit it under the seat in front of me and not have to pay for a carry-on. ALWAYS check the sizing box at the gate though. All of the straps and handles are useful for grabbing the bag and maneuvering it any which way you need. The only reason I don’t give this bag a solid 5 stars is because the faux leather piece on the front (the shiny brown piece) just looks ugly to me. I would have much rather it be canvas like the rest of the bag because it just does not look good. That part does not take too much away from the attractiveness of the bag. It still is a really nice looking bag and very functional.

I was able to fit a pair of pants, a pair of gym shorts, 3 t-shirts, a long sleeve button-down, 4 underwear, 4 socks, extra pair of shoes (minimal shoes), small laptop, small toiletry bag, medium size light-weight travel towel, and my chargers, in this bag without it looking overpacked. This was about the amount of stuff I could fit without having to try super hard to mash stuff in there and aggressively try to zip it up. There are straps to help synch it down.

Overall great looking bag that has been worth the money.

Great Construction and Design!, January 18, 2016

I’m completely impressed with this bag and the versatility of the design. I’ve been searching for a sturdy bag to use as a carry on for European flights. Being military I did not want a bag with a military appearance or tactical look. After receiving the bag I was amazed that the bag worked so well in every style of carry and that I was able to get everything I needed into it. The overall construction is very strong and the zippers are durable enough for heavy use. I used one bag as a carry on and the other as a personal item. The demensions started are correct and if you want to utilise the bag as a personal laptop bag in addition to a carry on I’d suggest not packing it with much more than a laptop as airline personal item rules are a bit strict. Pictured is my 14 inch laptop that I was able to fit with the additional protective sleeve. I plan to purchase another bag someday for my travel buddy and to see the lighter color. By far my favorite travel bag ever!

Great bag, bad velcro attachment., January 10, 2017

I’m going to Vermont in the next few weeks and I wanted a carry-on that I could attach my travel yoga mat to without taking up space in the main compartment. I was able to attach my yoga mat on here without much issue. The bag is solid. Very sturdy handles and zippers. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is because the back of the bag rolls upward to reveal the shoulder strands. That’s fine. The issue comes in when you roll up the back, It attaches to the side (top) of the bag via a velcro piece. I am not a fan of velcro. And to top it off, they left the hard side of the velcro exposed on the bag. The soft end of the velcro is hidden in the flap that rolls up. This should have been the other way around. In other words if i’m using the bag as a messenger bag, then my sweater or pants or anything else, are grabbed by the velcro on the side of the bag. I’m buying an additional velcro piece to cover this end when I’m using the bag as a messenger bag. Other than this, I really love it. I’ll update my review, after my trip.
