Just a reminder that you can get these for 99 cents each at a local target store. I get in a tunnel vision when buying from Amazon. It cost $11.50 for 3 boxes. Vol inc decides to add their shipping cost into the product. So not only does Vol inc over charges for the product but gets to over charge 2x on shipping charges…Talk about a rip off!

This is my second box of these basic, old fashioned wood-stick matches and I love them. They are super handy to have around and I use them for everything – from lighting candles, to starting the barbecue, lighting pilot lights, bathroom odor elimination and everything you can think of where striking a match is needed.

They are reliable – every single match in the box easily lit and I don’t think I experienced a single failure. The safety feature of striking on the box prevents these matches from being used inappropriately because they won’t ignite if struck on most surfaces. They actually need to be in contact with the striking surface of the box in order to catch fire. On my first box, I worried that the striking strips on the sides of the box wouldn’t last long enough for every match, but they held up through the whole box and had some power leftover when all the matches had been used.

I am super-satisfied with these matches! Old fashioned wood matches are one of those low-tech basics that every household needs!

Diamond Strike on Box Greenlight Matches 300 I actually thought I was ordering Strike Anywhere Matches, so was disappointed, at first. I had ordered 12 boxes, that turned out to be strike on the box matches. The folks at CoastRedwood were kind enough to adjust my order, even though it was my lack of attention to the fine details that caused the problem. They initially contacted me to be sure I was satisfied, and continued to contact me with a dilemma of my own making. Thank you, coastredwood company for caring about your customers. All kinds of matches are extremely important to stockpile for emergency situations, camp outs, cook outs, fire pits, and off grid living. You can even use them if you smoke or enjoy candles.. It’s easy to click and order matches, and not need to worry about heading out shopping to grow your stockpile of emergency supplies and things you may need in everyday life.
