UPDATE: Cooler leaked upon first use where valve seats into cooler body, however this was fixed by tightening the internal nut., June 29, 2015

Purchased for a camping trip, I put two bags of ice in the cooler and added about a gallon of water. Within 30 minutes, the cooler began leaking from the joint where the valve interfaces with the cooler. I tried pressing the valve assembly inward to try to seat the valve assembly into the cooler body to no avail.

UPDATE: As I was preparing to return the cooler, I noticed a plastic nut on the inside of the cooler which was somewhat loose. I tightened this nut with two hands and tested for leaks. Tightening the plastic nut appears to have fixed the leak around the valve.

It was easy to fill up, September 30, 2016

It was easy to fill up, take off and put on the lid, and carry around. We used this on a camping trip for it’s first time use. The spout is a bit different than what I’m used to. You pull it out and the water outlet hole appears. The funny part is the spout can rotate 360 degrees so your water can come directly out or have to spill out from the top – either way we always got wet. I think ours came missing a piece. It leaked the entire time – just minimal amounts of water continuously. We tried rotating the spout when it was fully in to see if that helped and it didn’t fix it.

    Needs a redesign., January 3, 2016

Holds ice ok, but the lid is a nightmare to get on. The grooves aren’t deep enough to get traction for your fingers. Bought coleman vs igloo cuz typically their coolers are better, but the lid design is a major flaw. Always frustrating to put on or remove. Also, the spout on mine is twisted. Had to pull the nut and attempt to remount it. Still not perfect. It comes out at the 7 o’clock position. Probably just bad quality control. Needs a redesign.
