Really impressed! My reference is listening to my favorite jazz station streaming into some audiophile equipment, including floor standing Boston Acoustics speakers. I have no damage or frequency drop outs in my hearing, and when I say this little radio sounds surprisingly good – it’s great! Somebody did a nice job speccing this speaker. Life is too short for crummy sound.

It has great FM reception, and a big plus for me is the cord has a nesting nook inside the radio, it doesn’t come off so no losing it. Runs on C batteries, I got it as a power outage/ storm season radio. It’s taken up residence in my bathroom though, to listen to the news and music when I’m in the shower. (Looked at the price of Boston Outdoor speakers… A radio is fine!)

So this guy gets my recommendation. Great price for a really nice classic analogue radio. It doesn’t get super loud, but it’s perfect for a smaller room. I wussed out and got the black, it looks classic.

This radio is a lot smaller than I thought it would be. (The dimensions listed are correct, I just didn’t read them!) I bought this to throw in the car for when I go to the drive in movies and it is the perfect size. It has a nice retro feel to it so it won’t stick out like a sore thumb in my antique vehicles (which don’t have working radios!) It would also be nice in a shed, garage, kitchen or to take camping. It DOES have an aux jack but it doesn’t have an aux cable. However, it does have a power cord that tucks nicely into the back of the radio. There is even a little slot in which you can feed the cord through and still have the back cover on the radio. This accepts 4 C batteries as well, just in case you aren’t near an electrical outlet. There is a little antenna that folds out or clips into the radio when not in use. I like that it has a switch to flip back and forth between AM & FM. The speaker volume does go up pretty loud considering the size of the radio. The only thing I can see wrong with this product is I feel that it should be a little bit lower in cost (maybe 10-15 bucks, max). Overall, this suites my needs perfectly.

The compact design is great for small spaces or when you’re traveling. It picks up stations over 70 miles away with great clarity. Aux jack works just as it should so I can plug in my iPod when I don’t want to listen to the radio.

The sound is good but not great. As long as you’re in the same room as the radio it is fine but not going to fill your home with sound. I’ve taken it camping and it works fine for on-site camping. It’s loud enough to hear around a campfire but without having to worry to much about bothering other campers near by.

Another convenient feature is that the cord can be stored inside the radio. If you don’t have batteries in the radio the cord can be wrapped up to be stored inside that area. If you do that, fold down the antenna and handle it stores into a nice rectangle for easy storage or packing.

I just wish it had a clock on it, but that wasn’t part of the description so no faulting the manufacturer for that. If that is something that you are wanting in a radio this may not be the one for you. But overall this radio is great and it’s endure a few drops for 4 feet up or less without affecting any of the quality.
